Phyllis Buchman passed away peacefully on Sunday May 30th, 2021, in Kansas City MO. Her children, Brenda Wyatt, Scott Buchman & Diana Boers were by her side.

Phyllis was born in Dodge City, KS. She was the 3rd from the youngest of 14 children. She married the love of her life, Bob Buchman, on July 3rd, 1951.  They were married almost 62 years. Bob & Phyllis raised their 4 children, Brenda, Peggy, Scott & Diana in the Northland area of Kansas City, MO. Phyllis worked for the Park Hill School District from 1965-1984. She was loved by many staff members and students throughout her years at the school district. Bob and Phyllis spent their retirement years in Phoenix, AZ. It was only after Bob passed away in 2013 did Phyllis return to the Northland area. During her last few months Phyllis loved phone calls, and visits from friends & family, especially her granddaughter, Ashley Wyatt, where they would share a root beer float or just sit and rock outside in the sunshine.

Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Brenda Buchman of Kansas City, MO, Son, Scott Buchman (Christi) of Kansas City, MO, daughter, Diana Boers (Brian) of Pine, AZ.  Phyllis had 6 grandchildren, Ashley, Kerri, Eric, Alex, Stacie & Abbie, 4 ½ great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. Phyllis was preceded in death by her Husband Bob, Daughter Peggy, Son-In-Law Roy, her parents & her siblings.

Her children will honor her wishes of no memorial service, instead say prayer, raise a glass, share a story, and remember her boundless energy, her smile, laughter, and her zest for life.
