Roberta Decker

Roberta "Bertie" Jean (Keas) Decker, 90, passed away Thursday August 8, 2019. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 16th at 10:00am at the Northside Christian Church, 5114 NW Old Pike Road, Kansas City MO 64118.

Roberta was born on October 31, 1928 in Atchison, Kansas, daughter of John C. and Leona O. (Supernaugh) Keas. She married Frank M. Decker on November 4, 1951 in Farmington, Kansas. They lived in Burlington, KS until 1967 when they moved to Emporia, KS. In 2004 they moved to Kansas City to be close to their daughter.

Roberta was a graduate of Kansas State University. She was Home Economics Agent in Coffey County before her marriage. She worked as a church secretary for 16 years in both Burlington, KS and Emporia, KS. She is survived by three daughters, Marcia Woody of Lexington, NE, Marilyn Wynn of La Grange, CA, and Jean Wiederholt of Kansas City, MO; one sister, Doris Heikes of Deborah, IA; six grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
