Gertrud “Trudy” Ronne, 92, passed away on September 22, 2019.

Trudy was born on October 31, 1926 to Franz Abel and Margarete (Wittschier) in Cologne, Germany. In Germany, she worked as a translator for the United States Army. She moved to Kansas City in 1949 where she began working as a secretary for many years. Later in life she was part owner for an employment agency based in North Kansas City, Missouri. Trudy married her late husband, Christian “Bill” Ronne on February 12, 1954. They spent many years enjoying time with family at their lake house on the Lake of the Ozarks. Trudy also enjoyed playing Bridge, planting flowers, and was a talented painter. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband and will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her daughter, Diana (Paul) Bidnick; grandchildren, Rachel (Jason) Richter and Chris (Anna) Bidnick; and great grandchildren, Sophia, George, Schaefer, Sloane, and Scarlett. A celebration of life will be held at Terrace Park Cemetery – Lakeside Chapel on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at 2:00pm, with visitation held one hour prior and burial to follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
