William "Bill" Vance

William “Bill” Ray Vance passed away on September 10, 2021 at his home in Platte City, MO. He was surrounded by his family and his loving wife Rose. Bill was born on September 20, 1943 to the late David Ray Vance and Helen Josephine (Bentz) Vance in Kansas City, Kansas. He married Rose Marie Green on September 27, 1969. They were married just shy of 52 wonderful years.

Bill was always known as a man who would be dressed to the finest. His family often referred to him as dapper. This being one of the reasons that Bill enjoyed working for the Palace Men clothing store which started his journey in salesmanship. He later went on to become a traveling salesman. Following his retirement in sales, Bill later went on to work for many casinos as a dealer where he enjoyed the company of those around him who weren’t afraid to "roll the dice."

Bill is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers: Robert (Bob) Vance and John (Jack) Vance

Survivors include: his wife Rose; one sister: Linda Cavanaugh; one son: David Vance-McCarty; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to attend the visitation gathering for Bill which will be held from 10:00 - 11:30 am at the Terrace Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, located at 801 N.W. 108th Street, Kansas City, MO 64155. Burial will follow at Terrace Park with military honors provided.
